Ederson put his name forward for Manchester City's best passer with an incredible ball to start the move for their opener against PSG on Tuesday night.

City welcomed PSG to the Etihad on a huge Champions League semi final night, going into the second leg with a 2-1 lead on a bitterly cold night in Manchester.

The Ligue 1 champions thought they had an early chance to score when Oleksandr Zinchenko was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box after just seven minutes, but VAR rightly overturned the decision.

Just four minutes later City had stretched their aggregate lead when Riyad Mahrez slotted past Keylor Navas from inside the box.

The key to the goal came all the way back from City's own box where Ederson played a perfect ball for Zinchenko to run onto, with the full back finding Kevin de Bruyne, who's shot ricocheted into the path of Mahrez.

Understandably fans on social media were in awe of the Brazilian goalkeeper's incredible passing ability, with the ball for Zinchenko the latest example of his skill.

Having helped his side get to 3-1 ahead on aggregate, the Brazilian was quite lucky not to be picking the ball out of the back of the net minutes lates.

Angel di Maria's cross found Marquinhos, the defender leaping above John Stones, but he could only head it onto the top of the bar, having scored in the first leg.

Di Maria nearly scored himself two minutes later when he nicked the ball off Bernardo Silva with Ederson off his line. The PSG forward took an early shot but it went wide, on target would have been a goal.
