Sergio Ramos Scores Brilliant Free Kick To Add To Scoring Record

The Real Madrid captain became La Liga's top scoring defender of all time just a few days ago and had already added to his tally.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos proved once again that he's no ordinary centre back by curling in a brilliant free kick against Mallorca.

Ramos became La Liga's top scoring centre back ever on Sunday night when he scored from the penalty spot in Los Blancos 2-1 win against Real Sociedad, to go top of the league.

It took the controversial defender just three days to add to his tally and he showed that penalties aren't the only set piece he's good at, with a David Beckhamesque free kick into the net.

The goal, which followed Vinicius Junior's 19th minute opener, was the 69th league goal in the 34-year-old's incredible career, and the 119th strike in all competitions for Sevilla, Real and Spain.

Since football in Spain's top flight returned the defender has scored three goals in four games and looks set to lead Zinedine Zidane's team to their first league title since 2017.

Ramos is the player opposition fans love to hate, especially Liverpool fans after the 2018 Champions League final where the Spain captain injured Mo Salah in the first half.

However there can be no doubting his incredible skills, both at the back and going forward, and he has taken over penalty duties since Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Juventus in 2018 and free kicks too.

In fact the World Cup winner has scored more free kicks than his five time Ballon d'Or winning former teammate in the past two years.

At this point there really is very little Ramos can't do, if he gets Liverpool fans to like him he'll have ticked all the boxes.
