Real Betis Striker Rober Scores Brilliant Bicycle Kick Against Roma

Jose Mourinho's red card wasn't the highlight of the match, as Rober scored the best of the seven goals in the pre season friendly.

Real Betis forward Rober provided the highlight of the night on Saturday, as the Spanish side shared seven goals with Roma and there were four sendings off, including the of Jose Mourinho.

With La Liga set to start next weekend, Betis would have been hoping for a game as close to a competitive as possible against Jose Mourinho's new side.

They got a hell of a lot more than that as the second half denigrated into near farce just around the hour mark. There were three goals and three sendings off on the pitch in the final 32 minutes, as well as Mourinho's own red card.

Away from the mayhem however, Rober scored the best of the goals, as Betis ran out 5-2 winners against their visitors.

First Nabil Fekir did some great work on the left hand side, before crossing to the striker, the 20-year-old then flicked the ball up to himself and delivered a bicycle kick into the corner.

Rodri had put Betis ahead after just four minutes, before new Roma signing Eldor Shomurodov made it 1-1 in the 27th minute.

Fekir put the Spanish side back ahead just three minutes later. It took until the second half but, the visitors went level again through Gianluca Mancini, in the 51st minute.

Chaos broke out just seven minutes later when Alex Moreno was adjudged to have put the home side ahead for the third time.

Moreno looked certain to score but messed up and had to put the ball in with his hand. The referee missed it and, with no VAR, the goal stood, much to the chagrin of the Roma players.

Lorenzo Pellegrini earned himself a second yellow card for arguing with the decision, which led to Mourinho running on the pitch and receiving his own red card.

The pair were soon followed by Mancini, in the 65th minute, and later Rick Karsdorp, in the 78th minute, who were also sent off.

As well as Rober, who scored the fifth and final goal, Cristian Tello also got on the scoresheet, amidst all the red cards.

Betis start their La Liga season against Mallorca on Saturday, whilst Mourinho's return to Serie A begins on August 22nd against Fiorentina.
