Marcos Alonso scored an absolutely stunning free-kick to give Chelsea a two-goal cushion in their game with Bournemouth.

Despite playing at left-back, the Spaniard has actually turned out to be a decent goal threat for Antonio Conte's men, scoring four goals in 27 appearances. Not bad for a defender.

He added his fifth tonight and it was courtesy of a beautiful free-kick that no one was probably expecting from him.

It was from about 25 yards to the right hand side of the Bournemouth box and Alonso curled a superb shot up, over the wall and into Artur Boruc's net.

And after Joshua King's late first-half goal, that was exactly what Chelsea needed to calm them down in the second half:

So that's five goals this season for the former Fiorentina man - and you'd back him to add to that tally between now and the end of the season as Chelsea target the English Premier League title.

The win got Chelsea back to seven points ahead of Spurs in the league title.
