Well it's about time Andrea Pirlo did something in his new life playing MLS football. The Italian legend hasn't exactly been playing brilliantly in America and he's finally scored his first goal across the pond and in typical Pirlo style it was a lovely free-kick.
The Italian isn't at the Euros because he's playing in a second rate league, or at least that's what Antonio Conte suggested in slightly different words, and it really doesn't help when you've basically spent time in your retirement home of a football team coasting.
Admittedly Pirlo isn't doing as badly at Manchester City's sister club as Frank Lampard but you know he's not taking it that seriously when it's taken him a year, since his move from Juventus, to score. He did it in the only apt way with a curling free kick at least:

Pirlo's goal put New York City FC 3-0 up against Philadelphia Union however two goals later in the game put the Union very close to a very dramatic comeback but they fell short losing 3-2.

Good to see the Italian still has it when it comes to free-kicks.
