Mauro Icardi really knows how to stick the dagger into his former side Sampdoria and today he did it in perfect style with four goals against his old club, including a picture perfect backheel.

It's a wonder that in his still relatively young career Mauro Icardi is yet to play in the Champions League. He's been with Inter in a period where the club just haven't been very good and he's been their standout player.

The Argentine is often linked with a move away from the San Siro with Real Madrid touted as a potential future destination for the controversial striker.

Icardi's history could land him a place in this most hated XI:

Former club Sampdoria is where he's probably least liked because of his infamous marriage to Wanda Nara, who was with then Samp teammate Maxi Lopez before dumping Icardi's fellow striker for the now Inter man.

The one set of fans who certainly wouldn't want to see score a hat-trick then are Samp's loyal supporters but that's what Icardi did in 14 first half-half minutes before adding a fourth in the second half.

The highlight of the goals was the back-heel, pulled off to perfection:

Icardi's goals took him to 100 Serie A strikes in his career, making him the sixth youngest player to reach the landmark in Italy, and after the match he was asked about his century, saying, "I really wanted to reach 100 goals and then I just kept going! It was a fine performance from the whole team and we got three very important points, which are more important than the goals."

The win took Inter back into the top four in Serie A and into the qualifying places for next season's Champions League although Lazio play later on Sunday with the chance to go back ahead.

You can't help but feel Icardi will be playing in the Champions League next season, with Inter or elsewhere.
