Ex-Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs scored one of the greatest goals in the club's history 18 years ago today, as the winger bamboozled the Arsenal defence in the 1999 FA Cup semi-final.

And with social media awash with accounts heaping praise on the 43-year-old for his solo goal which has become part of the tradition of the FA Cup, his former teammate Gary Neville has delivered a hilarious critique of the goal.

Yes, instead of celebrating Giggs' achievement - which he undoubtedly did at the time - Neville made the bold step to poke fun and jokingly criticise the Welshman's most famous goal.

First off, Neville blasts Giggs as "greedy" for not passing the ball to United striker Dwight Yorke as he crossed into Arsenal's half of the pitch.

The Monday Night Football pundit then described Giggs' decision to go for goal as "scandalous" as he had a teammate waiting to poke the ball into an open net.

However, the ex-United right back admits something good did come out of the tremendous goal... male grooming, shaving and waxing was quickly ushered in after Giggs removed his shirt:

The Manchester Evening News described Giggs' goal as "probably" the greatest scored during Sir Alex Ferguson's 25-year reign at the club.

And we're sure all jokes aside, Neville would probably agree.
