Lionel Messi Scores Absolute Worldie Against Huesca After Incredible First Touch

Barcelona's genius produced a goal out of nothing.

Lionel Messi scored yet another dazzling individual goal to put Barcelona 1-0 up against Huesca in La Liga.

In a game in which Messi equalled Xavi's overall appearance record for Barcelona - 767 matches each - Barca's No 10 marked the occasion with a simply breathtaking goal. It was three perfect touches.

With his back to goal and an opponent right on him, Messi's first touch somehow turned the defender inside out, as he span and flicked the ball goalwards. Messi knocked the ball forwards to make space, then pinged it off the underside of the crossbar and in with a rocket from outside the box.

Sensational. The goalkeeper didn't have a chance. And from what had looked - half a second earlier - like no threat at all, suddenly the ball was bouncing around inside the goal and Barcelona were 1-0 up inside 15 minutes.

It was a goal completely out of nothing and another one to add to Messi's endless, glorious collection after his stunning long-range effort against Paris-Saint Germain in the Champions League in midweek.

We seriously doubt Huesca's defence will forget this one-man demolition job in a hurry.

Messi's early goal was followed by a strike from Antoine Griezmann on 35 minutes, before Huesca pulled a goal back through a Rafa Mir penalty in first-half stoppage time.

Barcelona led 2-1 going into the interval - Messi having scored his 20th Liga goal of the season in sensational style.
