Danny Ings terrible error gave his former side Burnley the lead in their Premier League match against Southampton direct from an Ashley Westwood corner.
The two sides, now potentially with European qualification in their sights after Manchester City's European ban, kicked off in wind and rain on the south coast thanks to Storm Dennis but it was terrible defending rather than terrible weather that attributed to the opening goal.
In just the second minute Westwood's set piece swung towards goal and Ings stepped out the way, thinking the corner was going straight out of play, with keeper Alex McCarthy behind the goalline, and the ball bounced straight in.
The former Burnley striker, who left the Clarets for Liverpool in 2015, soon made up for his error with an equaliser in the 19th minute.

Ings, 27, now has 15 goals in the league this season and is the second highest scoring Englishman in the top tier this season, with only Jamie Vardy above him and is being tipped for a place in the Euro 2020 squad.
A win for either team would take them within two points of Everton in eighth place and there's a good chance that could be enough to qualify for the Europa League next season.
On Friday evening UEFA banned Premier League champions City from European competition for the next two years and should the club's appeal fall of deaf ears then the next Champions League spot would go to fifth place in the league and Europa League places could drop down to eighth, depending on Carabao Cup and FA Cup winners.
