There's Something Weird About Filipe Luis' Card On FIFA 17 Ultimate Team

Weird.

Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis has been in fine form this season and his displays have been marked by a couple of in-form cards on FIFA 17 Ultimate Team.

The left-back's standard card is 85 rated but he's had a further four upgraded versions as the season has gone on.

He made the very first Team of the Week, seeing his rating go up to 86.

The former Chelsea man was part of October's Halloween-themed 'Scream Team' - keeping that 86 rating.

In addition, he was also part of EA Sports' Team Of the Group Stage in the Champions League, leading to a shiny new blue 87 rated card.

And his most recent special card is an 88 rated in-form in the 29th edition of the Team of the Week, completing an impressive set of cards in the game this year.

But there's something a bit weird when it comes to Filipe Luis and his FIFA Ultimate Team cards.

That's because, believe it or not, his second in-form card is actually cheaper than the first-in form card given to him in the very first week of the season.

Dream Team picked up on the fact that his 86 rated card is more expensive than his 88 rated card - saying that his first in-form is available for around 235,000 on PS4 and 116,000 on Xbox One, while his better rated card was going for 147,000 on PS4 and just short of 100,000 on Xbox One.

Prices do tend to fluctuate on Ultimate Team but at the time of writing, according to Fut Wiz, 88 rated Filipe Luis is going for 117,000, 7,000 more costly than his 86 rated card that is commanding bids of 110,000.

The 88 rated, as expected, boasts much better statistics, so it's incredibly bizarre to see the best possible version of Filipe Luis going for less than his card that is two ratings worse off.

Have you got a theory as to what's going on with Filipe Luis' cards on FIFA 17?
