West Ham pulled off one of the best transfers of the summer when they agreed terms to sign Javier Hernandez earlier this week. The striker known as Chicharito should improve their record on signing strikers. But can you remember them all since 2010?

In January of 2010 David Gold and David Sullivan, the former owners of Birmingham City, became the owners and joint chairman of West Ham United. It's fair to say it hasn't all been plain sailing since.

Their first season in charge saw the club finish in 17th, just above the relegation zone, and a year later they after their first full season in charge at Upton Park they managed to oversee the team club finishing bottom of the league and into the Championship.

A swift return to the Premier League via the play-offs followed and since then the team have finished 10th, 13th, 12th, 7th and 11th in the league, not exactly pulling up trees.

Possibly the team's biggest problem since 2010 has been their inability to score goals. In the the seven years of their ownership the Davids have bought or loaned 32 strikers with very limited success. But how many of them can you name?

A lot of strikers and the reason for that is barely any of them have actually been a success, more than that most of them have been downright failures as proved by one stat:

Fortunately this summer the Irons have set about trying to fix their problems up front, Bilic's side only netter 47 times last season in the league, by signing former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

Chicharito has only cost the east London side around £14 million, a genuine steal in the current market, and he should guarantee around 15 goals a season easy.

One thing is for sure, with such a low bar he's unlikely to be a complete failure.
