You would assume that, given the influx of talent that has been snapped up by various clubs in China over the past couple of months, that EA Sports would have been inundated with requests for the Chinese league to be added to FIFA 17. However, it would seem video game fans are not all that interested in the recent transfer developments in the Orient.
In a FIFPlay poll, over two million users voted on which leagues they wanted to see added to the next installment of the franchise and the Chinese Super League managed to only garner a measly 1% of the votes. Roughly the same amount of voters who want to see the Welsh Premier League.
But it would seem that neither Airbus UK or Hebei Fortune fans should get their hopes up of seeing their respective clubs recreated in digital form any time soon, especially if the poll results are anything to go by. Instead, with over 400,000 votes, the Israeli league is proving to be the most in demand competition closely followed by Turkey's second tier and Germany's third.
So, maybe it's time to start brushing up on your knowledge of Beitar Jerusalem and Maccabi Haifi ahead of the game's September release.
