David Beckham's Current-Gen FIFA 21 Face Looks WORSE Than The One Used On Last-Gen Consoles

FIFA 21 players are baffled at how David Beckham hasn't received a proper in-game face model in the current-gen versions of the title.

Manchester United legend David Beckham has received a shockingly bad face scan for FIFA 21 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

The 45-year-old football icon was added to EA Sports' recent instalment in a title update ahead of his official arrival in FIFA.

And earlier leaks had suggested that Beckham would receive three different 'Icon' cards in the popular Ultimate Team mode.

The FIFA publisher and Beckham confirmed in November that the former Real Madrid and LA Galaxy winger would be the FIFA 21 cover star for next-generation consoles.

"23 years later... so proud to be back on the cover [of EA Sports' FIFA 21]," he wrote to his 65m followers on Instagram.

Beckham's different Icon cards are now available in Ultimate Team and fans have been eager to snap up the former England captain to try him out on the pitch.

However, some fans have noticed that Beckham's face model for current-gen consoles pales in comparison to the one used for last-gen consoles.

The Inter Miami president has an actual in-game face on the PlayStation 4 version, featuring his classic skinhead look from the early 2000s.

The current-gen versions feature a more youthful version of Beckham, though the in-game face shows barely any resemblance to the former England international.

Beckham's deal with EA Sports has reportedly secured him a hefty £40m payday as part of a three-year deal agreed between both parties.

FIFA 21 players who play the title before 15th January 2021 will receive a unique untradeable Beckham card for their Ultimate Team.

The Beckham card, which will be available from 15th December, has an 86 rating and celebrates his La Liga debut for Los Blancos against Real Betis in the 2003-04 season.

The David Beckham Edition is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox One Series X and PC.
