Here's What Happens When You Field A Team Of Goalkeepers On FIFA 17

One guy wanted to find out what the result would be...

Here at SPORTbible, we love a good experiment on FIFA. It allows you to break away from the monotony of the same old routine and change things a bit.

Personally, I have a few ideas that ideas that I go-to when I'm getting a bit bored on the game.

On occasion, I create a team that contains a single player from every top league on the game and test my side against mate who has adhered to the same rules.

You select an MLS team and transfer all the players there, mainly because they've got some beautiful kits and have a lot of slots available and then play the game on kick-off. You could have Paul Pogba, Cristiano Ronaldo, Angel Di Maria, Leonardo Bonucci and Manuel Neuer in your team, while your opponent could have a team that comprises of Sergio Aguero, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Jerome Boateng, Dries Mertens and Marco Verratti.

Seeing what team you can put together and seeing how they fare in the game is always good fun.

And sometimes when having a bit of a messabout, a swap about my player's positions on FIFA, whether it be online or on kick-off. Technical masters Lee Cattermole and Tony Hibbert provide the goods in attack, while Victor Valdes and Jose Manuel Pinto regularly pulled the strings in midfield for me when playing as Barcelona on online seasons.

But just how good are goalkeepers to be permanent outfielders on the game?

FIFA YouTuber Rich Leigh, who also experimented by seeing how a team of Lionel Messis would far in career mode, wanted to find out how a squad entirely made up of goalkeepers would cope in the Premier League.

Playing as Oxford United in the Premier League, he assembled a side that had the likes of Jack Butland, Joe Hart, Petr Cech, Thibaut Courtois, David De Gea, Manuel Neuer and Gianluigi Buffon.

Only Butland was in his familiar role.

And as fun as it would be to play with a team of players who do more work with their hands than their feet - even if modern goalkeepers have to be more comfortable on the ball, it's probably not a good idea to do a full career mode season with them.

The team, spearheaded by the dream strikeforce of Manuel Neuer and David De Gea, were beaten 4-0 in the first game against Manchester United and it was all downhill from then on.

Check out the clip of the season on the whole here:

So there you have it, sacked before the turn of the year after a dire run of form.

Playing with goalkeepers is a good laugh but it won't bring you results on career mode, it seems.
