Sunderland Left Baffled By Maja's Bad Character Model In FIFA 19

Josh Maja is one of the unlucky players in FIFA 19, but at least Sunderland sees the funny side of his bad character model.

FIFA 19 has finally been released, but it looks like Sunderland have found one of their player's appearance in the title quite hilarious.

The Black Cats tweeted a side-by-side comparison of Josh Maja and, well, the club does have a point.

It's actually a poor effort, even by FIFA's standards.

Check it out below:

The 19-year-old doesn't bear much resemblance with his FIFA 19 character, so it's not surprising that Sunderland took the perfect opportunity to take a poke at EA Sports.

Maja has broken into the first team at Sunderland and has made over 20 appearances for the club. The youngster isn't in any rush to move away from the Black Cats either.

"I'm happy at the club right now," he said (via the Sun).

"All I'm focused on is getting the club back to where it should be and that is the Premier League.

"This season is a big year for us, we want promotion, to win the league. If we stick together, we can do that."

It might not be the best of times for Maja, but one of his Sunderland teammates, Aiden McGeady, isn't doing too bad for himself in FIFA 19.

The Republic of Ireland winger is once again a five-star skiller in the title, which is something that he has held on to since FIFA 12.

FIFA 19 is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

What did you make of Maja's appearance in FIFA 19?
