There's nothing worse than thinking that the world is against you during a match on FIFA. Most of the time, you're probably looking for a reason to justify why you lost or conceded a goal. However, there might be the rare occasion where you're not at fault for what happened.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the free-kick taker -- a scary thought in itself -- he runs up, takes his shot and there's no 'keeper in net as the ball hits the back of the net.
Wait, what?
Yes, that's exactly what one FIFA 19 player experienced when he was playing a match.
"I see you don't have the goalkeeper DLC," one user wrote on Reddit. "You played [against] yourself."
Another said: "Happened to me. Are you [on] PS4? My 'keeper went missing from the goal and kept running up and down the touchline."
A third added: "If you press circle or square when someone is taking a free-kick, it adjusts the goalkeeper position to the right/left. You can do this until he is off the field."
Talk about a nightmare situation, right?
You can bet both players were equally confused by what was happening during the match.
There's no doubt that one controller was broken after that free-kick went in.
Even for the FIFA series, this is one hell of a bizarre moment to see.
FIFA 19 is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
