EA Sports have released a trailer for the new VOLTA mode in FIFA 20, and it looks amazing.

The street football mode will feature when the new game is released on September 27 and is a throwback to the FIFA Street era.

And this latest footage will leave gamers with their mouths watering for the release next month.

VOLTA will allow players to break away from the usual 11 on 11 action by playing 3-a-side, 4-a-side or 5-a-side in a street football environment.

Some of the locations for a street match include a cage in London, an Amsterdam underpass and a Tokyo rooftop with a DJ and pyro.

While there are similarities to FIFA Street, there are also distinct differences to the game which was last released in 2012.

There is a story mode for VOLTA on FIFA 20 as well as an online league, and women can also play on the same pitch as the men.

Gamers are able to turn the walls on or off as well, and even get rid of goalkeepers.

Once gamers have made their custom avatars, they can be kitted out in gear and kits of their choice before taking to the VOLTA streets.

EA Sports creative director Matt Prior hopes VOLTA will unlock "a whole world of football that EA haven't tapped into".

It's a game-changing addition for FIFA and one of the biggest updates to the game in recent years.

SPORTbible was in Boston last month when Virgil van Dijk was unveiled as the new cover star for FIFA 20 champions edition.

And the Reds centre-back selected his ultimate VOLTA 5-a-side team, staying loyal to his Liverpool and Netherlands team-mates.
