Carlos Tevez is back in the FIFA franchise, but his rating is a tad underwhelming.

The Argentina has returned to Boca Juniors for a third spell after "a seven-month holiday" in China with Shanghai Shenhua, where he offered little but raked in the big bucks.

With EA Sports not owning the rights to the Chinese Super League, a plethora of elite-level players, including Tevez, have been exempt from the FIFA series.

But having made the move back to his native Argentina to play in the Superliga, which is included in FIFA 18, the well-travelled striker is back in the game.

His last appearance was as an 83-rated striker in FIFA 17 but upon his return, the 33-year old is now five ratings worse off - boasting an overall rating of 78.

Given he's getting on a bit, Tevez' physical stats have also taken a dip. His acceleration is 74 and his sprint speed is 71, which means his pace will be in the low 70's

A few years back, the former Manchester United and Manchester City striker was an absolute machine on the game.

Here is the best all-time XI across the FIFA franchise:

On FIFA 12, with his 88-rated card possessing impressive stats such as 84 pace, 87 shooting, 83 dribbling and 91 finishing, he was an absolute don.

No longer in the peak of his powers, Tevez in FIFA 18 is a very different kettle of fish but it isn't exactly all bad - as he does have 82 composure and 85 shot power.

He likely won't be completely destroying defences as he did back in the day in the game, but it's great to have Tevez back in FIFA regardless.

And if he produces the goods for league leaders Boca, there's always the possibility of an upgrade or some tasty in-form cards.

Are you excited about Tevez being back in FIFA?
