When Stewards Hilariously Chased Benjamin Mendy Thinking He Was A Pitch Invader

Never forget the moment stewards hilariously chased Benjamin Mendy because they thought he was a pitch invader.

The Frenchman was involved in a brilliant interaction with stewards at full-time this time last year when Manchester City beat Liverpool 2-1 in the Premier League.

When match referee Anthony Taylor blew the final whistle, Mendy raced onto the pitch to celebrate with his teammates, but he was flanked by not one but two stewards who thought he was a pitch invader.

The pair of stewards chased him until they realised the lad in the luminous orange coat was actually Mendy.

Mendy took to social media after the amusing incident, and posted a picture of him kissing Sergio Aguero, who scored a goal that night.

He also reacted to the video, saying: "bro was about to tackle me."

Manchester City, meanwhile, appear on course to surrender their title as the defending champions trail league leaders Liverpool by 14-points.
