Wayne Rooney Winds Up 'United Fan' Michael Owen On Twitter

While Michael Owen enjoyed the finest and most prolific years of his career as a Liverpool player, his legacy at Anfield has been tainted by the three years as a Manchester United player - a spell Wayne Rooney is keen to remind Owen about.

Ahead of Liverpool's Premier League match with West Brom tonight, the BT Sport pundit tweeted his support for his former club, urging them to claim the win that woud send them top of the league.

Rooney, though, was puzzled as to where Owen's loyalties lie:

He may be misfiring on the pitch this season, but the United captain seems to be in fine form off it.
