Jamie Vardy poked fun at Kasper Schmeichel and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg with a The Inbetweeners inspired joke at the weekend.

Southampton went up against Leicester in Saturday's early English Premier League kick-off at St Mary's. And that gave Schmeichel and Højbjerg - two international team-mats with Denmark - the chance to catch up.

Southampton's media team caught their meeting pre-match on camera and included it in their Matchday Uncovered YouTube video - and you can just about hear Vardy and some other Leicester players giving their goalkeeper abuse for his 'Danish friend'.

In case you're unaware of the joke, it started in the popular UK TV show The Inbetweeners:

And Vardy was obviously a fan, saying 'Danish friends' in the same voice as The Inbetweeners boys while Schmeihel and Højbjerg hugged. Skip to 5:21 for the scene:

It's good to see the rest of the Leicester and Southampton players found it funny despite being just minutes away from facing off.

The Foxes players may have been laughing then, but that quickly changed with Southampton's 3-0 victory.
