WATCH: Julia Roberts Congratulates Sergio Ramos After El Clasico

Wonder how Ramos took this...

Sergio Ramos was shown a red card for the 22nd time in his career in Sunday's El Clasico for a lunge on Lionel Messi.

The Real Madrid defender was given his marching orders in the 77th minute with Barcelona leading 2-1, and after James Rodriguez levelled matters in 85th minute, 10-man Los Blancos continued to pile forward in search of a winner and were undone when a lung-busting run from Sergi Roberto eventually led to Lionel Messi scoring the winner with his 500th goal for Barcelona.

Ramos' dismissal undoubtedly changed the game and Real Madrid fans are probably angry with their centre-back for allowing Barcelona back into the title race.

But one person who seemed pleased with what Ramos produced on the pitch was actress Julia Roberts.

The Pretty Woman and Notting Hill star was in attendance for the five-goal thriller at the Bernabeu and met several of the big-hitters after the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi both posed for pictures at different points after the game, and Roberts also met the likes of Marcelo and Luka Modric.

But in a clip posted by Real Madrid, when the 49-year old met Spain defender Ramos, she congratulated him on his performance and told him he played "amazing" - probably not the best thing to tell him after getting sent off and effectively costing his side the game.

Watch the video of Roberts' visit here, with the Ramos encounter happening about 45 seconds in:

If it was anyone other than a Hollywood actress, Ramos may well have reacted differently!

The 31-year old has received a one-match ban for his red card, as well as being fined 600 euros.
