Watch: Claude Puel Couldn't Understand Jamie Carragher

It was both hilarious and awkward at the same time...

Claude Puel takes charge of his first game as Leicester City manager today and ahead of the visit of Everton, took part in a rather strange interview with Sky Sports.

The former Nice manager, who is out for a second crack at Premier League management after being sacked by Southampton, sat in the dugout at the King Power Stadium and was quizzed by host David Jones and pundits Thierry Henry, Alan Pardew and Jamie Carragher.

But when Carra posed his question, the Frenchman didn't have the slightest clue what the former Liverpool defender was asking him.

Watch the brilliantly awkward moment here:

What Carragher was actually trying to ask Puel was, "was it a big desire of yours to come back to the Premier League after what happened last season at Southampton?" but his thick scouse accent, which sometimes leaves viewers wondering if they should have a subtitles feature, led to the new Foxes boss being a bit confused.

It prompted a giggle out of Carragher but in a bid to quash the awkwardness, Thierry Henry stepped in straight away and asked the same question in French.

Here's how Twitter, including Carra himself, reacted to the hilarity:
