'Alex from Glasto' finally got the chance to meet PSG defender Thiago Silva, after becoming famous thanks to rapping the song of the Brazilian's name.

Back in June Alex Mann became a viral sensation when he was pulled onto the stage at Glastonbury by rapper Dave to take the role of AJ Tracey in the pair's song 'Thiago Silva.'

Now 'Alex From Glasto' as he affectionately became known as, has finally met the defender with Silva signing the PSG shirt that got Alex the attention to be picked to go on stage.

It was a meeting that had been two months in the making as the 34-year-old had greeted the original video of the performance with a thumbs up and asking for his followers to help him find Alex.

Dave often calls a member of the audience up to take the part of AJ Tracey but Mann's performance really got everyone talking at this year's Glasto.

Radio 1 Extra's original tweet of the video ended up with nearly 79,000 retweets and nearly 270,000 likes and also has over 23 million views.

After absolutely smashing the performance, in which Alex name-checked Sergio Aguero, Dave told the kid: "Wait there for me on the side of the stage. I'm gonna nick you."

All the while, the crowd were chanting "Alex! Alex! Alex!"

Silva's season with PSG has had an up and down start with the Ligue 1 champions having won two and lost one of their opening three games.

The former Brazil captain started the first two games of the season, including the loss to Rennes, but was benched for the third game against Toulouse. However Silva came on before half time as PSG got back to winning ways.
