What a story!

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has confirmed that he wrote some rare murder mystery novels back in the day, which are now selling on Ebay for a huge ยฃ250.

The 55-year old is known for a decorated playing career in which he won three Premier League titles and three FA Cups at Manchester United, as well as managing a host of clubs in the Premier League.

But he also had other talents, as it has been revealed that he was the author of books with original titles such as "Striker", "Sweeper" and "Defender".

One of the books, said to be "so bad, it's fantastic", is available on Ebay for ยฃ250.

Bruce confessed that he did indeed write the novels.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of his big return to former club Birmingham this weekend, he said:

"They were 10 or 15 years ago. They are genuine!

"I think my son went out on Radio 5 and he didn't know anything about it. It was a long, long time ago and there'll be no more. I assure you! Go and read them and you'll understand why."

ยฃ250 is all it will cost you to read the written masterclass from Brucey. We're hoping that he does come out of author retirement to release "Steve Bruce at weddings". It would be a definite best-seller.
