Bastian Schweinsteiger Jokingly Trolls Former Teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Zlatan Ibrahimovic's paths at Manchester United may have only crossed for a few months but the Swedish striker and his ways obviously rubbed off on the German after he welcomed his ex teammate to America.

Even though it's not that long ago at all it still seems weird that Bastian Schweinsteiger was ever a Manchester United player, in fact it feels more like a dream or some weird fan fiction.

Are either Zlatan or Bastian considered United flops like this lot?

The Germany legend never really looked like leaving Bayern Munich, after all he'd reached his mid 30s before he moved to the Premier League. Maybe he never should have moved to England because his time at Old Trafford wasn't exactly inspiring.

He left for America last season and now plays for Chicago Fire in the MLS and very soon he'll be coming up against a familiar face.

Last week former teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced that he was leaving United and joining MLS side LA Galaxy and Schweinsteiger has found the perfect way to welcome his ex colleague to America:

It's no doubt going to be a blow to Ibra because a lion presumably never follows everyone.

The fans were enjoying Schweinsteiger's cheeky welcome though:

Schweinsteiger could come to regret taking the mick out of the former Juventus striker pretty soon. Fire and Galaxy face each other in a couple of weeks and it's not been a great start for the Chicago side.

They currently sit in 10th in the Eastern Conference having lost both their openers, Zlatan will be hoping to inflict yet more pain on them.
