Sam Allardyce Reportedly In Talks To Join Strictly Come Dancing

Sam Allardyce could be swapping the dugout for the dancehall with a report that the former England manager has had talks to appear on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing show.

In recent years it's been difficult to remember that Sam Allardyce was at one point one of the best managers in the land as the 64 year old has mainly just become a meme based on the time he drank a pint of wine.

The former Bolton Wanderers manager has been out of work since being sacked by Everton at the end of last season, having only taken over midway through the season, and hasn't even been parachuted in by any relegation threatened teams this season.

There's always the chance that 'Big Sam' will be back in a dugout somewhere at some point because he has a knack of getting teams out of trouble, even if the football he produces isn't always the prettiest.

In fact Allardyce ha never been one to win points for style, which might hamper him in his next job. According to the Daily Mail the former West Brom boss has been in talks to appear on the next Strictly Come Dancing series with a source saying:

"He met TV executives this week in a hotel bar. They assured him that the show's edited so that no one comes across as a terrible dancer, mentioning Katie Piper as someone who was not 'a natural' but who got the public behind her.

"They were talking to him about the Christmas special but emphasised that they want him on a whole series, rather than just a one-off."

Allardyce was clearly somewhat worried about how he'd come across and also reportedly asked about how former footballers John Barnes and Robbie Savage had done on the show.

The former defender is also reported to have said, "Whatever they can say, I've had twice as bad," over the idea of criticism of his dancing.

Of course it wouldn't be the first time Allardyce has been seen on camera dancing having become a viral sensation in 2016 when he was videoed dancing in a club in Marbella.

Sports stars have a good history on the show with Darren Gough, Mark Ramprakash and Louis Smith all winning in the past and Denise Lewis, Colin Jackson and Matt Dawson all finishing runners up.

We can't wait to see Big Sam Foxtrot and Charleston his way into the public's hearts either that or Salsa his way into another Premier League job.
