Romanian Team Had To Wear White Shirts With Felt-Tip Squad Numbers

We've all been there, or have we?

At some point in our glittering Sunday League careers, we've all come across a kit clash.

Normally, the easy solution is for one team to put bibs on and then away you go, the game begins.

But when it happens in a professional game, it's a bit difficult to live up to the "professional" tag when you've got players running round in orange bibs.

There are several examples of where a team has been forced to wear the colours of the opposition and in some cases they have had to wear their away kit.

Due to a kit clash and a lack of preparation in a Romanian League Cup semi-final three days ago, ACS Poli Timisoara's only logical option in the away leg against ASA Targu-Mures was to wear plain white shirts, socks and shirts made by Joma.

Obviously they also needed squad numbers and with seemingly no time and resources to print numbers on the makeshift shirts, they promptly scribbled on their shirt numbers on with felt-tip pens.

Even worse, the pitch was frozen over so all players had to wear trainers suited for indoor activity for the big game.

Timisoara (the team who had to wear the white shirts with felt-tip numbers) won the game 4-2.

Reports suggest that they want to have the same kit as their regular home strip as of next season.

Have your team ever come across a kit clash and had to improvise? Let us know in the comments.
