Pep Guardiola has really made his mark on Manchester City's first-team, and the training ground itself, after it was revealed by Pablo Zabaleta that the Spanish coach has managed to cut off the building's 3G signal.

Guardiola has enjoyed a pretty impressive start to life in the Premier League, after going on an 11-game unbeaten streak before Sunday's defeat to Spurs. And perhaps the secret to his success is demanding that his star-studded squad talk to each other at their plush Etihad Campus, rather than sitting about on their phones all day.

The impressive £200 million facility has just about everything the modern footballer could dream of - except a decent reception.

Speaking via Argentine news outlet La Capital, Zabaleta said:

"For breakfast and lunch we are all together at the club. We haven't got Internet - Pep has cut us off. We cannot even grab a little bit of 3G."

But whilst being cut off from Facebook, Twitter and every other kind of social media might be frustrating for some of the club's younger squad members, Zabaleta doesn't seem to mind, and sounds as though he's loving life under Guardiola.

The 31-year-old added:

"You always want and you dream about being trained by the best coaches, and today I have the opportunity to work with one of the best. Actually, I have learned a lot, especially by the way you live it. Beyond knowledge, his passion for football is amazing."

So, there you have it - want to be a successful football coach? Start by binning your internet connection?
