It was over Raheem Sterling winning a penalty...

Pep Guardiola had a cheeky dig at Arsene Wenger after his side's 2-1 win at Huddersfield.

For the first time since 1995, City came from 1-0 down at half-time to win at Premier League, with Sergio Aguero scoring from the spot straight after half-time and Raheem Sterling bagging a late winner to give City an 18th consecutive win.

Sterling, who is now having his best ever individual season, also won the penalty for City's equaliser after being tugged by Scott Malone, and should have had one a minute before when he was felled by Huddersfield goalkeeper Jonas Lossl in the area.

And in his post-match interview, when quizzed about the incident, he aimed a thinly-veiled dug at Wenger.

Wenger, whose Arsenal side beat Burnley earlier in the day thanks to a late Alexis Sanchez penalty, criticised Sterling a few weeks back when he won a penalty against his Arsenal side - with the Frenchman saying "Sterling dives well".

Asked about the two penalty shouts today, one of which was given, Guardiola said:

"Two clear penalties. Maybe Arsene will say that is [a] penalty."

City's unbeaten record was under threat when a Nicolas Otamendi own goal put the newly-promoted hosts went ahead, but despite not being at their best, they proved their title credentials with an important away victory which delighted their manager.

"The Premier League is so tough, now winter has come, we knew they were so aggressive, so strong, but we are so happy for the way we won," the City boss added, as quoted by the Evening Standard.

"We spoke at half-time about how to react, we had enough chances to score and the first time Huddersfield had a chance they scored. We spoke about not giving up, to keep going.

"It was a brilliant move to win the penalty. It is impossible to win every game easily, this league is so tough. The guys competed amazingly, which is why we won."
