Mesut Ozil has poked fun at his Arsenal and Germany teammate Shkodran Mustafi, joking he's not sure why the Gunners paid Valencia £41 million for the defender.
Mustafi left the La Liga side for the Emirates last summer, with Arsenal fans heralding his arrival as the key to their future success.
However, the 25-year-old hasn't had a great season, with his side currently struggling to finish in the Champions League places and with Arsene Wenger's future in serious doubt.
In fact, even Ozil isn't sure why the club spent big on bringing Mustafi in... even if just as a joke.

The German has a book titled 'Gunning For Greatness: My Life' coming out in the near future and it is being serialised in the Daily Mail, with Ozil talking about Jose Mourinho, Arsene Wenger, the Premier League and a host of other issues.
The former Real Madrid star revealed in his new autobiography 'Gunning for Greatness', that he often practices a shooting drill with Mustafi after training... one that he unsurprisingly wins more often than not.

Ozil then joked that with Mustafi losing so often, he's unsure why Wenger approved such a big-money move for the centre-back:
We can't imagine Mustafi will give Ozil an easy ride in training after these comments...
