Georges-Kevin Nkoudou Brilliantly Pokes Fun Of Himself After Spurs Appearance

The Spurs winger was a surprise substitute against Fulham with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min out for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou was the surprise hero as Spurs scored a last minute winner against Fulham. Now the winger has mocked himself with a brilliant post on social media.

Certain players are always the centre of attention and often making match winning contributions. It's not much of a surprise when the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane do their thing.

On the other hand some players become heroes in a flash with Federico Macheda's late winner for Manchester United vs Aston Villa in 2009 being perhaps the best example of this.

Sure Marcus Rashford did similar for United several years later but it was the Italian's very much more flash in the pan hero existence that means he takes the title, disappearing almost as quickly as he appeared.

On Sunday Spurs were without their usual heroes with Harry Kane injured and Son Heung-min at the Asian Cup with South Korea so if Mauricio Pochettino's side were going to win they needed inspiration from elsewhere.

Dele Alli may have been an obvious source but when the England midfielder went off injured late on with the score tied at 1-1 with Fulham all seemed lost.

Step forward the forgotten man of Mauricio Pochettino's side Georges-Kévin N'Koudou. The winger ended up assisting Harry Winks for the winner and after poked fun at his lack of game time with a brilliant tweet:

NKoudou signed for Spurs in the summer of 2016 but he hasn't made much of an impact for Pochettino's side previously.

He made 17 appearances, mainly from the bench, in his first season in North London, in all competitions, but played just six times last season before joining Burnley on loan.

Even with the Clarets he only appeared eight times before returning to the capital. Before Sunday he'd played once for Spurs this term, coming off the bench in the Carabao Cup fourth round.

Alli's hamstring injury could leave him out for a while and certainly gives Pochettino a huge injury headache right now but it still doesn't mean that Spurs latest hero will get much more game time.
