Nathaniel Chalobah has left Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis, and Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi reacted in utterly hilarious fashion.

Watford confirmed the signing of Chalobah for a fee of Β£5.5 million last night, with the England Under 21 international returning to Vicarage Road for the third time having spent two of his six loan spells away from Chelsea at the Hornets.

The 22-year old only made 15 appearances for Chelsea, and was so much of an unknown quantity in the first-team environment that he was mistaken for Michy Batshuayi, when the Belgian international signed from Marseille and joined up for the club's pre-season tour of the United States.

Chalobah posted two brilliant Tweets back in August to clear up the lookalike situation, before producing a vintage call-back when Batshuayi was the title-winner for Chelsea against West-Brom last season.

And after Chalobah's five-year deal at Watford, which includes a buy-back clause, was announced, Batshuayi, aka the king of Twitter, responded with a classic Tweet that has garnered over 2,500 Retweets and nearly 7,000 Likes.

He basically said that Chalobah had enough of him confused for Batshuayi, and simply had to move on - before wishing his close pal the best as he strives for regular game-time:

As we all know, Batshuayi is a bit of a Twitterholic and had a cheekily little back and forth discussion with Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is soon to be his Chelsea teammate when his Β£40 million move is finally officially confirmed.

Michy Batshuayi, the absolute main man on Twitter.
