Manchester United supporters reckon their club were trolling Chelsea when they sent out a tweet last night.
Immediately after Chelsea were condemned to a 2-1 Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Arsenal and knocked out of the competition, the Red Devils' official Twitter account announced that following the result, their game against the champions at Old Trafford on 25 February, the same day as the cup final, will go ahead as scheduled.
It was a fairly standard tweet from whoever was on admin duty for United last night, but considering it was posted straight after the final whistle, a number of fans thought it was a dig at the Blues and they absolutely loved it:
The rivalry between the two clubs has obviously been a big one in the history of Premier League, and the tension has heightened with the recent feud between managers Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho.
Expect fireworks at Old Trafford next month in what promises to a day of football worthy of the 'Super Sunday' tag Sky Sports use.
