Liam Gallagher Reacts To Claims City Over-Celebrated Derby Win

You wouldn't expect anything less from him.

Liam Gallagher has taken to Twitter to give his thoughts on claims that his beloved Manchester City over-celebrated Sunday's derby win at Old Trafford.

Pep Guardiola's side outclassed their rivals to win 2-1 away from home and were buzzing after going 11 points clear at the top of the table.

But Jose Mourinho and several United players are said to have taken issue with the manner in which City celebrated their victory and that's when the crazy fracas, now being investigated by the FA, ensued.

'LG', currently in the middle of a solo tour in the UK, was having none of it though - posting a typically hilarious Tweet regarding the saga.

"Beige cunts" is quite the insult, isn't it? Just imagine if Mr Gallagher would have been involved in the beef after the game on Sunday!

Anyway, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho have both been quizzed on Sunday's post-match events in their press conferences today, and though neither gave much away, the former did defend his team's celebrations.

When asked if his side overstepped the mark, Guardiola said, via the BBC:

"Definitely not. It was the same after the Southampton game. That was 96 minutes or something like that, but we were happy. It was a derby, it was the closest rival.

"We were inside, it is normal. We didn't do anything exceptional, we did what we did in the past and what we will do in the future.

"People have to understand that we were happy. I think all the teams around the world when they win a derby, they are so happy. When we won with Bayern we were happy, with Barcelona we celebrated.

"We celebrate in the right moments, for example we celebrated in Napoli, you have to do that, but inside [the dressing room].

"I am the guy who encouraged them to do that, but inside, and after what happened, it happened, hopefully it will not happen again."

Thoughts on the whole situation?
