Jose Mourinho Claims He's The Best Manager In The World

Tottenham suffered another dent in their hopes of finishing in the Premier League's top four after losing to David Moyes' side on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho has claimed that there is no better coach in the world than him, following his side's latest loss to West Ham United on Sunday.

Most people weren't particularly impressed with Spurs on Sunday afternoon, as goals from Michael Antonio and Jesse Lingard led to their fifth Premier League loss in six games.

Lucas Moura did pull one back for the visitors to the London Stadium and Gareth Bale hit the crossbar, after coming on as a second half substitute, but the damage was long done to Mourinho's team.

However, despite the fact that Spurs now find themselves ninth in the table, Mourinho remained in typically bullish mood after the game, when asked if results had made him question his style of management.

"No, not at all. Not at all. Zero. Sometimes results are a consequence of multiple situations in football," the former Manchester United boss told Sky Sports.

"Mine, and my coaching staff's methods, are second to nobody in the world."

Back in December Mourinho's team beat rivals Arsenal in the North London derby to go top of the table but their form has completely dropped off since.

The former Champions League finalists have won just three games in the 12 games since, picking up just 12 points in total in the process.

That form has seen them fall way down the table and nine points off the top four, with West Ham currently occupying fourth after their win over Spurs.

Asked whether his side were in crisis, Mourinho said, "I don't know what you mean by crisis.

"If crisis is frustration and sadness in the dressing room, I would say so, because nobody is happy, we all showed that in this game.

"When a team fights the way we did until the last second trying to get a different result, it is never a group in crisis.

"Groups are in crisis when you are not together in the search for better results than you have.

"So I wouldn't say crisis, I would say a really bad run of results. That is obvious. We are losing too many matches."

Spurs next three games are at least looking winnable as they face Burnley, Fulham and Crystal Palace in their upcoming league matches, before the next meeting with Arsenal.

They also have a League Cup final against Manchester City to look forward to in April, which is their best chance of silverware under Mourinho.
