Leicester City's James Maddison won the Man of the Match award as he set up the side's equaliser against Chelsea on Sunday, and then he continued his great performance off the pitch with the perfect response to Jeremy Clarkson.

Maddison set up Wilfried Ndidi's 67th minute equaliser, after Chelsea had taken the lead through Mason Mount, and created two further chances for his team and looking menacing throughout.

However 'The Grand Tour' presenter, and Blues' fan, Clarkson wasn't impressed by Maddison's performance, picking on his haircut.

However the midfielder hit back in fashion, although he'd already done that with his performance on the pitch.

The former Norwich City player only signed for the Foxes last summer, for £20 million, but has immediately impressed for the 2015/16 Premier League champions.

The 22-year-old scored seven goals in his debut season at the King Power Stadium and earned his first call up to the England senior side, although he is yet to make his debut.

His one season in the top tier led to summer links with a move to Manchester United for £60 million but no move transpired.

In Sunday's game Mount returned to the Chelsea team, having been omitted against Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup last week, and had an immediate impact.

The Chelsea youth academy graduate chased down Ndidi, after the ball was rolled out to him by Kasper Schmeichel, won the ball and slotted it into the net to give Frank Lampard's side the perfect start after seven minutes.

However the new boss at Stamford Bridge wasn't able to taste his first success in a competitive game as Ndidi made amends for his earlier mistake.

Maddison's brilliant corner allowed the Nigerian to rise above Cesar Azpilicueta and nod the ball home to make it 1-1.

Clearly all that time having his hair done has given the former Coventry City player enough time to contemplate how to play the perfect corner.

He ruined Frank Lampard and Chelsea's day but for Blues' fan Clarkson he ruined it twice, both on and off the pitch.
