You just can't have a major international football tournament without bugs can you? James Rodriguez had a big fuck-off green insect on his shoulder four years back against Brazil, while Cristiano Ronaldo was also a victim during the Euro 2016 final.

Now, Hugo Lloris has become the latest to feel the wrath of nature - and already the fly that made its way into his mouth already has a Twitter account set up.

Around 17 minutes into the quarter final clash between France and Uruguay, the Spurs goalkeeper got a surprise when the dragonfly landed right into his mouth and a disgusted Lloris spat it out straight away. Viewers got a perfect, slow-motion, close-up of it all.

And straight away, the internet did what it does - some crazy cat decided to set up an entire Twitter account dedicated to the insect. It's already producing gold:

Clearly, having been in the France skipper's mouth for a matter of seconds, the fly gave him a new kind of energy - as Lloris pulled off a sublime one-handed save to deny Martin Caceres and preserve Les Bleus' 1-0 lead going into the break.
