Sevilla Defender Diego Carlos Scores Incredible Own Goal

La Liga kicked off this weekend in frantic fashion and Diego Carlos added to the mayhem with his incredible lob.

Diego Carlos scored one of the best, or worst, own goals you're likely to see, as the Sevilla centre back lobbed his own goalkeeper from 20 yards out.

The Sevilla centre back is one of the most highly regarded defenders in Europe and has been linked with some big moves in the recent past, although he does have some issues with decision making.

On Saturday Carlos proved that theory, as he managed to lob goalkeeper Yassine Bounou from outside the area, to equalise for Real Sociedad.

Youssef En-Nesyri put Sevilla ahead in the game after four minutes but it took less than a minute for the hosts to peg themselves back, Graham Hunter's laughter really makes the goal even better.

Carlos' goal was just part of the madness in the game though, with En-Nesyri giving Julen Lopetegui's again just two minutes after the own goal, the third goal inside the opening 10 minutes.

It didn't take long for Sociedad to get level again, Swedish striker Alexander Isak made it 2-2 in the 14th minute but the scoring in the first half finally ended there.

However after the break Moroccan forward En-Nesyri completed his hat-trick just a minute into the second half to give his side the lead for the third time.

Unfortunately for him the game will likely be best remembered for the utterly incredible own goal by his teammate.
