Gerard Pique Explains How To Pull A Girl Like Shakira

It's that simple!

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has revealed he won over his smoking hot wife Shakira by simply asking her about the bloody weather.

The pair are now one of the most glamorous couples in the world, with Pique regarded as one of Europe's best defenders and Shakira a multi-platinum selling artist, and have two sons.

But back in 2010, they had only met on a handful of occasions, and the defender was struggling for an ice-breaker after meeting Shakira a few months before the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Speaking to Spanish TV station TV3, via Goal, Pique explained: "I met Shakira in Madrid, when we were preparing for the 2010 World Cup, and after appearing in the Waka Waka video."

"It all started when we were together in South Africa and I wrote to her. She was already there because she sang in the opening ceremony and I asked her what the weather was like. It is the typical stupid question, and the normal answer is to tell me to bring a jacket."

"But she started telling me what the weather was like in every single moment and it got to the point where I told her we would have to get to the World Cup final to see her again - she was singing at the final. Once we got to that stage, we might as well win it. We got there and we won."

So, there you have it - if you're not quite sure where you stand with a girl you've been seeing or texting, simply follow Pique's example and ask her about the weather.

He may have won the Champions League, World Cup and just about every trophy he could've possibly won in his career, but it still makes us feel a bit better about ourselves that even a man like Gerard Pique was reduced to talking about the weather when chatting up a girl.
