Francesco Totti popped into the Italian big brother house recently, because he's Francesco Totti and he can pretty much do what he wants.

However, it turns out there was a purpose for Il Capitano getting involved in 'Grande Fratello VIP' - Italy's equivalent of Celebrity Big Brother on these show. The Roma legend's wife Ilary Blasi is the presenter for the show and it was arranged for Totti to be part of the show and visit the house, taking part in a quiz of some sorts against the housemates.

The Italian even took his suitcase and everything. We're sure that he had his Roma kit in there somewhere.

The 40-year old was handed keys to a secret room, went through a big red door that was probably nabbed off someone from Balamory and promptly ended up in the big gold chair that we're all accustomed to seeing in the diary room.

After meeting those taking part in the reality show, he tussled it out in a quiz against the housemates. If it was a competition about scoring worldies from all over a football pitch, he would have won hands down.

Everyone's favourite No.10 then posed for a selfie with the housemates, who were understandably quite happy to have one of the most naturally gifted football players in their company.

The stint in the Big Brother house was only brief but in the short time Totti was in there, he quickly became the greatest housemate to ever be part of the show. We reckon Channel 5 need to reach out to him and get him on the English version rapid, unless they go for Jamie Vardy instead.
