Wait, there's actually football on?! The A-League in Australia has still managed to provide a moment of entertainment in these weird, generally footballess times.

All of the major leagues in Europe have been postponed until further notice thanks to Covid-19 but 'Down Under' they're still playing.

On Saturday morning, Europe time, Western Sydney Wanderers took on local rivals Sydney FC in the A-League and the match left us laughing.

WSW manager Jean-Paul de Marigny was so unhappy with the linesman when he awarded a throw-in to Sydney FC that he asked if his hair had got in his eyes, but it doesn't look like that was possible...

Former Premier League striker Adam Le Fondre, who left England after a spell for Bolton Wanderers in 2018, scored his 10th goal in 10 away games to open the scoring for Sydney FC.

He was quickest to react to a teammate's shot being saved as the goalkeeper couldn't push the ball out far enough, and knocked in from yards out to open the scoring.

The former Reading man was looking like a match winner but with just nine minutes left the hosts equalised in rather fortuitous circumstances.

Simon Cox, another former Reading player, struck his shot from the edge of the area and it hit teammate Kwame Yeboah, who was standing inside the area, causing the ball to loop over the keeper, who had no chance.

Football fans this side of the world don't usually care too much about football in Australia but with everything that's going on at the moment it might be time to look out for when the next live game on BT Sport is on.
