Leicester City moved up third place in the league today with a hard fought 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, in a fixture that the Foxes have failed to get a point from in their last six meetings.

After Soyuchu nabbed Leicester's first goal from a corner midway through the second half it was Vardy that sealed the victory, stroking home a smart cross from Demari Gray into the box and finding the back of the net.

It was Vardy's tenth goal of the season and restored the 29-year-olds spot as the league's top scorer this season, just ahead of Sergio Aguero and Tammy Abraham.

Vardy was clearly pleased with the day's events, and in typical cheeky fashion held nothing back when celebrating, antagonizing the home supporters by performing the infamous 'Prancing Bird' dance right in front of them.

To say that The Eagles fans were unimpressed by the celebration is an understatement, but Vardy and his teammates didn't seem to mind one bit.

And after waiting three years to score his first goal at Selhurst Park, it's fair to say that the England international was going to savour every moment of this victory.

Today's victory brings the Foxes up to third place as they look to consolidate their top 4 challenge for the season, edging above Chelsea on goal difference and currently sitting just two points behind second place Man City.

Palace have scored just four goals in their first six home games of the season as they struggle to maintain a consistent run of form. Today's result puts them in 9th place, two points ahead of Manchester United.
