FC Dallas Troll Zlatan Ibrahimovic Over His MLS Failure

FC Dallas Troll Zlatan Ibrahimovic Over His MLS Failure

The former PSG striker moved to the MLS last year to join L.A Galaxy but things didn't go the 'lions' way in his first year in America.

"I can't help but laugh at how perfect I am," you wouldn't expect anything less from Zlatan Ibrahimovic but his first year in the MLS proved anything but perfect and now FC Dallas have stuck the boot in on another of his quotes.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic isn't one to play down his own achievements and ability. When he left PSG he claimed he'd arrived a king and left a legend, considering he'd become the club's all time top scorer it was quite difficult to argue with.

Everywhere the Swede has gone he's picked up silverware. He won league titles with Ajax, Inter, Barcelona, AC Milan and PSG, and even Juventus before they were taken away through no fault of his own.

Even at Manchester United, where things did not go according to plan, he still won the EFL Cup, scoring twice in the final, and the Europa League, despite being injured for the final.

After injury and lack of form cost him his place at United he moved to the MLS with L.A Galaxy and made a big promise when arriving, saying, "I'll do them the favour and I'll break every record there is. Even the records they don't know about. I'll break them also," however life didn't go according to plan in his first year.

Now Galaxy rivals FC Dallas have taken to Twitter to mock the former Malmo forward for his words:

Despite the mocking from the rival team the 37 year old striker still managed to score 22 goals in 27 appearances for Galaxy last season, including a ridiculous winner on his debut.

Already this season Zlatan has opened his campaign with a winning goal against Chicago Fire on the the opening game last weekend.

Of course the video isn't for no reason and Dallas are just upping the stakes before they meet Galaxy for the first time this season on Saturday night.

The Texas side could do with a win against Galaxy as they only managed to draw their first game of the season, a 1-1 stalemate with New England.

Will Dallas' provocation work on Zlatan or will it backfire?
