West Ham Embarrassed By Messing Up Season Ticket Emails

West Ham Embarrassed By Messing Up Season Ticket Emails

West Ham have sent out an email to 500 of their fans but what should have been a simple exercise has gone wrong for the Premier League side.

West Ham United have accidentally emailed the entirety of their away season ticket holders with the email addresses of everyone else in the list, has no one heard of BCC in the office?

There was a time when Karren Brady referred to West Ham's move from Upton Park to the London Stadium as the 'greatest stadium migration in football.' That phrase is both absolute and utter nonsensical corporate speak but also a complete and utter lie.

West Ham's problems both on and off the pitch have been pretty plain to see, especially when the two collided during last season's home game against Burnley. Fans ran onto the pitch during the game to protest and their anger was directed at the directors box and specifically at Davids Gold and Sullivan.

This summer they've gone about trying to appease fans with a series of signings that most expected would fire them up the table. Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko, Issa Diop, Carlos Sanchez and Jack Wilshere were amongst the eye catching signings.

Things haven't gone according to plan for new manager Manuel Pellegrini just yet and they've lost to Liverpool and Bournemouth in the Premier League already, the latter at home and after taking a 1-0 lead.

And now things off the pitch have sunk to a new embarrassing low with the club accidentally sending an email out to all their away season ticket holders without BCCing everyone else in:

Oh West Ham!

Did you guys forget all that stuff with GDPR recently? Surely, like the rest of us, you actually realised how many mailing lists you didn't really want to be on you actually had. Surely you, like us, got really fed up with all the emails about data protection.

There's someone looking very faced in their offices right now and you've got to feel for them.

I once didn't realise a bosses boss was CC'd into an email to our team and my 'reply all' caused my boss to panic. Fortunately his boss found my reply quite funny but did tell me to be careful in future.

Now imagine doing that but to 500 people, oops!
