Replies From When Sadio Mane Signed For Liverpool Go Viral
In hindsight Liverpool's transfer of Sadio Mane in 2016 was a great piece of business, which is a shame for some football fans whose tweets at the time are going viral for how wrong they were.
Mane moved from Southampton to Liverpool in June 2016, just weeks after the Saints finished two places and three points above the Reds in the 2015/16 Premier League in sixth place.
Jurgen Klopp's side spent £30 million on the Senegal international, in a world before Neymar's £198 million move to PSG had pumped up transfer prices, and some fans didn't react well.
Three years later and people saying they should have signed Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Theo Walcott and are expecting a 10th place finish are looking rather foolish:
flop of the season already.- . (@GoalGomis) November 11, 2016

In the three and a bit seasons since joining the Reds from the south coast the former Red Bull Salzburg forward has scored 49 Premier League goals in just 97 appearances.
On top of that he's put on 15 assists, scored another 14 in the Champions League, won the Premier League Golden Boot and helped win the Champions League, not bad going for someone Liverpool apparently overpaid for.
Be careful what you tweet, it might lead to you being shown up as an idiot...
