Anthony Martial Scares Manchester United Fans On Social Media

Anthony Martial Scares Manchester United Fans On Social Media

The Manchester United forward is more important to United's team than he's been throughout his time with the Premier League club.

Anthony Martial managed to scare Manchester United fans into believing he'd left the club with a pretty innocent post on social media on Friday.

A lot of players have benefitted from the complete and utter transformation that has happened between Jose Mourinho being sacked and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reign and Anthony Martial is certainly on that list.

The French forward was starting to play more often under Mourinho toward the end of his reign at Old Trafford but last summer the former Chelsea manager was willing to sell the former Monaco forward.

In the end it was Martial who outstayed the manager and then signed a new five year deal to stay in Manchester beyond next summer, when his deal was due to run out.

The 23 year old picked up an injury midweek against PSG in the Champions League and Solskjaer announced on Friday that he will be missing from the FA Cup game against Chelsea on Monday.

That's a blow to United fans but actually they thought they had a bigger blow when they thought a post sending his love for former Monaco general manager Vadim Vasilyev, who was sacked today, was an announcement of him leaving to return to the French principality:

The 2019 on the shirt probably did it for those fans of the Premier League club but it was simply a throwback picture from when he signed a deal to 2019, although it does prove those deals don't mean anything.

United fans will be hoping Martial recovers very soon to help them continue their assault on finishing in the top four.
