Phil Jones Gets Put On His Arse By Kevin De Bruyne For Goal

The Manchester United defender didn't have the best return to action, with his last game coming in the 3-3 draw with Sheffield United.

Phil Jones returned to the Manchester United starting line up for the first time since the end of November and in typical fashion the centre back made a fool of himself.

The United defender has a reputation for making mistakes and pulling silly faces more than he does for his defending prowess and his absence was due to an error in the 3-3 draw against Sheffield United.

He returned for the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg game against Manchester City and was made a fool of by Kevin de Bruyne as the City midfielder sat Jones down in the build up to the visitors third goal.

United found themselves 1-0 down after just 17 minutes when Bernardo Silva curled a beautiful 25 yard strike past David de Gea, with the keeper having no chance of stopping the effort.

Pep Guardiola's side, playing without a recognised striker, were 2-0 up after just 33 minutes through Riyad Mahrez, when the Algerian was played through on the counter and slotted into the net.

Andreas Pereira's own goal, following Jones' embarrassment, made it three before half-time an United looked like they'd be on the end of a real battering.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side improved in the second half with the introduction of Nemanja Matic, for the poor Jesse Lingard, and latterly Angel Gomes.

Mason Greenwood set up Marcus Rashford in the 70th minute and the Englishman scored his 17th goal of the season to give the Red Devils a glimmer of hope.
