Mexican Team Have Neymar Diving Challenge For Half Time Entertainment

The PSG and Brazil forward has unfortunately become just as famous for his diving as his forward play so it's no wonder he's being mocked.

Neymar might be a fantastic footballer but his reputation for diving muddies the water. Now the Brazilian has been given the ultimate embarrassment with one Mexican team adoption the 'Neymar challenge' to entertain the crowd at half time.

World Cups haven't been too kind to Neymar. Four years ago he was the poster boy for the World Cup in Brazil, with all the host nation's hopes pinned on the then Barcelona forward to take them to the final, and win it.

Of course history didn't exactly play out like that with the former Santos player injured in the team's quarter final win over Colombia, as their fellow South Americans went into full shithouse mode.

After that Brazil fell apart, losing the semi final to Germany 7-1 and then the third place play-off to Netherlands as well.

Back in the summer the now PSG man was once again expected to help Brazil win and had his injury before the tournament.

Once again things didn't play out as expected. Despite a better all round team the five times World Cup winners looked too reliant on Neymar who in turn tried to do too much and they went out to Belgium in the quarter final.

The worst thing for Neymar throughout the tournament though had been his diving and theatrics and that has got a lot of criticism and it's also turned into quite the joke in Mexico.

Club Tijuana, or Xolos, have introduced the 'Neymar challenge' at half time as fans race from the half way line to the end of the pitch by rolling around:

Even a mascot in the NHL is getting involved in pieing Neymar off for his ability to throw himself to the ground after the most minor of touches:

We look forward to the Neymar challenge being the next big thing on social media.
