Zlatan Ibrahimovic is no longer a Manchester United player. The Swede has been released to make his latest move and he's been given the perfect goodbye by now former teammate Eric Bailly.

Zlatan finally came to the Premier League last season after years of all of us wanting it and despite his age he didn't disappoint with a good goal return and an EFL Cup winning brace in the final against Southampton.

Unfortunately his injury curtailed the end of his first season and though United re-signed him for a second season he never fully recovered and never got his form back, playing just seven games in all competitions this season with limited minutes.

Today the club said goodbye to the former PSG striker in a series of Instagram posts:

And of course because it's Ibra, the same man who said he'd arrived at PSG 'like a king' and 'left as a legend', did his usual by also taking to Instagram as he departed Old Trafford:

Now he's off to play in the MLS with LA Galaxy but former teammate Eric Bailly couldn't let him go without sending his own 'emotional' farewell on social media, this is perfect:

It really is quite a shame that we didn't get to see more of the best version of the former Inter Milan and Juventus striker but for so long it didn't look like he would make it to England at all and his first season proved he was good enough.

The move to America does mean that the Swede will never win the Champions League and that's quite the shame.

America might be huge but is it big enough for Zlatan?
